Natalie and Guy 10.07.15

On Friday 10th July after much planning and preparation, Natalie and Guy became husband and wife, cheered on by family and friends in a beautiful courtyard wedding in front of the barn at Herons farm.


As an overwhelmed Natalie walked up the aisle to meet an equally teary Guy the couple took their 1st kiss and were announced Mr and Mrs Barker,


confetti flying it was of to the main lawn for a group photo before returning for arrival drinks. In pride of place in the courtyard was Guys old vintage land rover laden with bunting, hosting kegs of real ale on its wings and pimms on tap sat near by on giant whisky barrels for guests to help themselves.

Inside the barn rows of tables were laid for a “posh picnic”, red checkered table runners set the scene with lovely moss covered boxes of flowers and brightly coloured napkins matching the bunting and lanterns to give a radiant summer feel.


As the carafe’s of cucumber gin english garden cocktail were placed down, the food began to flow

Sliced honey roast Ham

Tian of crab and avocado

Crispy smoked salmon ‘scotch’ egg

Chedder, Ale Chutney and Sage Tarlet

Richly Dressed Red Onion Coleslaw

Potato Salad ‘french style’

Asparagus, maple smoked bacon and goats cheese salad

Green leaf, cucumber and yellow tomato salad


Followed by a Trio of stunning deserts

Mini scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam preserve, Pimms Jelly with raspberry spheres and a chocolate, salt caramel tart.


Outside tea and coffee awaited full and happy guests and garden games were put out for afternoon fun in the late sunshine,the land rover now turning into a fabulous photo booth, with comical props for all to enjoy.

Back into the barn and Natalie and Guy were now ready to cut their wedding cake, a delicious 3 tiered naked lemon cake, followed by an eagerly awaited 1st dance.

Cake served and pulled pork baps devoured everyone was set to dane the night away!
